Skin Treatments
CO2 Laser Resurfacing
The erbium, or cold laser, is used for a light, gentle resurfacing of the skin. It will not eliminate lines or wrinkles but can give a very significant improvement in the overall look of the face. When true skin tightening and elimination of fine and deeper lines is necessary, the CO2 laser is used.
Botox
BOTOX® is one of the greatest breakthroughs in cosmetic dermatology in recent years. We are thrilled with the results and our patients love it!
The most common area of injection is between the eyebrows where adults frequently develop a furrow. This area responds extremely well. "Crows feet" and forehead lines also respond well to BOTOX®. Dr. Rebecca Baxt and Dr. Saida Baxt can carefully apply BOTOX® to help you obtain a smooth and healthy appearance. The procedure is quick and it is done in the office with only slight discomfort. We are now using BOTOX® in selected patients for "crinkling" of the lower eyelid, and for areas around the mouth. BOTOX® also works well in our patients with troublesome neck bands.
Acne Treatments
Acne and acne scarring affects most teenagers and many adults. Acne is one of the most common conditions that we treat in our office. Acne is more severe in males in their teenage years, but often females have a tougher time in their twenties and thirties. We see many patients who have acne into their fifties. Each patient's skin is different and there are many acne treatments available. We commonly use topical creams and Chemical Peels. For more severe acne we use oral medications, Smoothbeam Laser, Isolaz Treatment or Photodynamic Therapy.
Fillers
Restylane®, and Juvèderm® are our latest and greatest fillers for wrinkles around the mouth and chin. These are forms of Hyaluronic acid. No animal products are involved. No skin testing is required and discomfort and downtime are minimal. All treatments are easily done during a quick office visit to fill wrinkles and depressions in the face to make you look younger instantly. The results last from 3 months up to a year in many patients.
Leg Vein Treatment
Veins of the leg are a common problem. Many people who have spider veins find them unsightly and often attempt to conceal them. Today, a simple treatment, called sclerotherapy, used effectively by our doctors improves the unwanted spider veins of the legs. During sclerotherapy, a solution is injected into the unwanted veins, damaging the vessel. Sclerotherapy is the gold standard of care for spider leg veins, however a some patients can benefit from laser leg vein therapy which we also offer in our office.
